Roger L. Watson, 67, of Redfield, SD, died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Veteran's Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. His memorial service will be Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at the Baptist Church in Redfield. Pastor Ted Price will officiate. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Roger was born January 26, 1941 in Wichita, KS to Leonard and Ula (Atkinson) Watson. He grew up in California and married Marylou Rothacker. He was in the roofing business in California. Roger moved to Redfield in 1993 and worked at the South Dakota Developmental Center-Redfield as a direct care provider.

He enjoyed collecting and watching movies.

Roger is survived by his son Roger L. Watson II of Huron, SD and his daughter Lisa M. Watson of Yucca Valley, CA; five grandchildren: Mechelle Elizabeth Watson, Roger L Watson III, Tiana, Kaeliegh and Jaelynn Watson. He is also survived by two brothers: Richard Watson of Riverside, CA; Leonard Watson of Downey, CA; and his sister Cookie Taylor of Mission Viejo, CA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
