Obituary

Rosemary Anderson, 95, of Huron, SD and formerly of Redfield, SD died November 17, 2011, at Sunquest Healthcare Center in Huron. Rosemary was cremated and her memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011, at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Reverend Stephen Perry will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. (www.thelenfuneralhome.com)

Rosemary Lawyer was born September 8, 1916, in Indianapolis, IN; to James and Alta (Sherwood) Lawyer. She attended country grade schools near Redfield and Redfield High School. Rosemary married Charley W. Anderson, September 8, 1934, in Vermillion, SD.

Through the years, she was employed at Ritchey's Music Store, The Music Center, Perriton's Drug Store and Lampe's Market. During WWII, "Rosie" was a riveter for the Glen L. Martin Bomber Plant in Bellevue, NE. She worked on the first B-29 that brought World War II to a close.

Rosemary is survived by one son Charles D. (Wanda) Anderson of Huron; four granddaughters: Lynn Job of Denton, TX; Lora (Sean) Eagan of Sioux Falls, SD; Sonya (Steve) Irons of Lincoln, NE; Karen (Jeff) McBirnie of Bremerton, WA; one great-grandson Joshua J. Eagan of Sioux Falls, SD; and three sisters: Pauline (Martin) Kohnen of Wessington, SD; Iris (Elmer) Madison of Santa Rosa, CA and Virginia Martin of Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Jean Muhs.
