Rosemary Heber was born January 28, 1921 in Lacrosse, WI to Anthony and Mary Louise (Rossetti) Francoli. The family moved to South Dakota and settled on a farm south of Mellette. Rosemary attended and graduated from Mellette School in 1939.

On October 30, 1941, Rosemary married Joe Heber at All Saints Catholic Church in Mellette. They lived on the family farm near Zell, SD where they raised three children: John Joseph, Betty Lou and Mary Ann. They moved to Redfield in 1978. Rosemary was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, a Charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America, a member of the retired teachers of Redfield and she helped with the CCD program at St. Bernard's. She worked at the Redfield State School in the dental department and at the Redfield School where she taught 4th grade and special education. She loved all the children.

Rosemary loved her family, life, and work. Those who knew Rosemary knew her gentle, kindhearted, loving way and her gentle smile as well as her dedication and willingness to help others. She enjoyed her flower gardens and enjoyed crocheting many dollies and afghans for her children and grandchildren.

Rosemary enjoyed her life at Lakeside Assisted Living in Redfield. Rosemary resided there from August 2002 to April 2012. She then made her home at the Eastern Star Nursing Home in Redfield. The family is very grateful for the kind and loving care she received from the entire staff at both the Eastern Star and Lakeside Assisted Living.

Grateful for having shared in Rosemary's life are her son, John (Stephanie Pickrel) Heber of Redfield, SD and her daughter, Betty (Leo) Naber of Orient, SD. She is also survived by her brother John (Marilyn) Francoli of Aberdeen, SD; her son-in-law Ralph Roth of Redfield, SD; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Heber in 1996; her daughter Mary Ann Roth in 1992; and three great grandchildren: Triten Heber, Mollie Gaudet and Terry Fischbach.
