Ruby Siebrecht, 84, of Redfield, SD died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, SD. Her funeral will be Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Burial will be in the Ashton Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1-8:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home.

Ruby was born June 15, 1923 in Ashton, SD to Edward and Marie (Clausen) Siebrecht. Ruby and her twin sister were the last born of the eight children in the family. Ruby stayed home to care for her parents, first on the family farm and later in Ashton, until her father's death in 1965. She subsequently kept home for her brother Glenn, for a couple of years in Ashton. She worked for a short time at Phillips 66 CafAC. and then began employment at Community Memorial Hospital. She was a familiar face in the hallways until her retirement.

Ruby is survived by her sister Melba Sauer in Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Lloyd, Roy, Glenn, Leona Bates, Leonard and Ruth.
