Ryon was born on August 12, 1968, in Aberdeen, SD, to Tom and Norma (Haberman) Bohl. He spent his childhood and youth on the family farm near Brentford. He attended and graduated in 1986 from Northwestern High School in Mellette.
On June 25, 1994, he married Connie Blume at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Redfield, and to this union, two children were born, Trevor and Tucker. Ryon worked many years at Farmer's Union Oil (Cenex) in Redfield. In 2004, he went to work for Stacey Frericks and Gene Zoodsma on their farm and then in 2006, he began farming on his own. Through all the years working in Redfield and for Gene and Stacey, Ryon was involved with cattle and horses. In 2006, with the help of Nan and the late Darrell Forest, Ryon started to build his Clydesdale herd of horses. Through the love of cattle and horses, there were many friendships made across the United States and Canada.
Ryon was a member of the UCC Church in Brentford and served on Tetonka Township board. He was a member of the Clydesdale Breeders of the USA.
Ryon is survived by his loving wife, Connie, and children, Trevor and Tucker, all of Mellette. He is also survived by his mother, Norma (LeRoy) Scott of Highmore, SD; his sister, Valerie (Jim) Kamen of Aberdeen, SD and their children Emily (Zach Humphries) and Tommy; and his brother, Blair (Samantha) Bohl of Hosmer, SD and their children Haddie, Emmit, Clint, Addison and Hayes; his maternal aunt, Karen Horn of Belle Fourche, SD; as well as many close cousins; and Chip, his 4-legged friend, who was always by his side.
He is preceded in death by his father, Tom Bohl in 1993, and his sister, Becky Jo in 1967.
