Sherry Dawn Hardie, age 70, of Redfield, SD, passed away on April 13, 2020, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, SD.  Her wish was to be cremated with no services.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Hyke Funeral Home of Redfield.  (www.hykefuneralhome.com)

Sherry was born on March 5, 1950, in Watertown, SD to Donaldeen Wensing and Evelyn (Kosier) Wensing. Having graduated from Watertown High School and the Watertown Business School, she married Lynn Hardie on March 15, 1969, and had four children from this union. The happily married couple received Lynn's draft notice as a wedding present, and she then spent the next twenty years as a Navy wife raising their four children by herself.  She loved crocheting, camping, and had a love of dogs.

She is survived by her husband Lynn of Redfield, son James Hardie of Sioux Falls, son Bradley (Linda Clough) Hardie of Aberdeen, son Jeremy Hardie of Sioux Falls, daughter Jessica Hardie of Aberdeen, grandchildren Nathan and Kurtis Hardie of Aberdeen, sister Debra (Myron) Bryant of Sioux Falls, and brother Rod (Julie Genoways) Wensing of Windsor, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and grandparents.
