Sue Elise Davidson, 61, of Mellette, died of cancer, Friday, October 24, 2008 at her home in Mellette.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield, SD. Reverend Jon Damaska will officiate.

Burial will be in the Mellette City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-8:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield.

Sue Elise was born in Aberdeen, SD on August 17, 1947. She was adopted by Dr. William Rivett and his wife Elene. Sue was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Aberdeen. She attended school in Aberdeen and after graduation she went to college for a year at Presentation College. Sue began her career as a secretary working for her father in his optometrist office for several years. She then went to work as a secretary for the Brown County Health for thirteen years. Sue met Elton Davidson and on October 27, 1994 they were married in Mellette, where they still lived at the time of her death.

Sue loved to cook, bake, garden. She will be remembered as a loyal and true friend by many that will miss her. Sue had a special place in her heart for her family, friends and her three dogs.

Sue is survived by her husband, Elton Davidson of Mellette, SD and one son Steve (Dina) Radke She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Lynne Nichols. One grandson Dylan Radke.
