Susan Mary Genzler, 49, of Tulare, SD, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Redfield. Father Christopher Hughes will celebrate the mass.

Burial will be in the Tulare Cemetery followed by a coffee fellowship.

Visitation will be Friday from 1-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Sue was born October 13, 1964 in Redfield to Rolland and Gladys (Muellenberg) Kempe. She grew up in the Ashton/Athol area and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1982. Sue and Alvin Genzler were married August 17, 1984 in Redfield. Sue worked a few years at James Valley Nursing Home and then started at South Dakota Developmental Center-Redfield in 1987. She worked, as a facility worker, at the activity center for twenty-six years.

Sue enjoyed golfing, kittens and especially spending time with her family.

Sue is survived by her husband Alvin Genzler of Tulare; two sons: Nathan (Kelsey Frost) Genzler of Tulare and Tyler Genzler of Redfield; her mother Gladys Kempe of Redfield; and two brothers: Ron Kempe of Florida and Kevin (Becky) Kempe of Black Hawke, SD. She is also survived by Alvin's family: Tj & Cindy Genzler of Sioux Falls, SD; Melissa Genzler of Redfield and Ann Genzler of Tulare; Ted Genzler of Chelsea, SD; George (Donna) Genzler of Chelsea, SD; Don (Dolly) Genzler of Redfield; Helen (Gary) Whitley of Redfield.

She was preceded in death by her father, her brother Danny, her sister Marilyn Burchell and her nephew Shane Burchell.
