Terry Allen Deem, 46, of Ashton, SD, died Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield. Terry was cremated and his memorial service will be Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at First Congregational UCC Church in Redfield. Reverend Tim Fugman will officiate. Terry was born September 10, 1966 in Tracy, MN to Richard and Marie (Pederson) Deem. He graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1985 and Pipestone Vo-Tech in 1986. He worked as a meat cutter before entering Willmar Culinary Arts Chef School. He worked at several Chef positions in Minneapolis and Sioux Falls. Recently he had worked several road construction jobs and was currently working at Jensen Rock and Sand in Aberdeen, SD.

Terry married his best friend Candi Benning on November 13, 2004. They enjoyed living in the metropolis of Ashton, SD.

Terry enjoyed helping others and donated his eyes, bone and tissue after his death.

Terry is survived by his wife Candi of Ashton, his parents Harold "Hutch" and Marie Hutchinson of Revere, MN; his biological father Richard Deem of Tracy, MN; his brother Tommy Hutchinson of Apple Valley, MN; his niece and godchild Harper Hutchinson and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Wilbur and Grace Deem, his maternal grandparents Oscar and Anna Pederson and three uncles: Alvin, Darrel and Phil Pederson.
