Terry F. Jungwirth, 70, of Zell, SD, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Avera St. Lukes Hospital in Aberdeen, SD.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Zell. Father Christopher Hughes will celebrate the mass.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 1-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Terrance Francis Jungwirth was born August 12, 1940 in Zell, SD to Bernard and Leila (Eidsness) Jungwirth. He attended elementary school at St. Mary's Catholic School in Zell and graduated from Redfield High School in 1958. Terry and Shirley Holm were married on May 9, 1960 in Zell. They farmed near Zell for several years. Terry also worked as a carpenter until he became disabled.

Terry enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Terry is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Zell; his children: Jerry (Delila) Jungwirth of Zell; Tim (Jodi) Jungwirth of Tulare, SD; Kim (John) Fanning of St. Lawrence, SD; and Karla (Kevin) O'Daniel of Zell. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, his mother Leila Jungwirth of Redfield; his sister Janice (Bob) Clement of Lacrosse, WI; two sisters-in-law: Pat Haider of Redfield and Margaret (Wayne) Moncur of Miller, SD, brother-in-law Charles (Maxine) Holm of Rapid City, SD and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Bernard Jungwirth, infant son Todd, and two brothers-in-law: Paul Herricks and Leo Haider.
