Travis Hans Jessen was born July 19, 1971 in Redfield to Richard and Catherine (Campbell) Jessen.  He grew up in Tulare and graduated from Tulare High School in 1989.  He entered the United States Air Force directly after graduation and honorably served his country until he retired as Master Sergeant in 2009.  After retirement, Travis began his civilian career at the Minot Air Force Base with employment duties the same as when he was enlisted.

Travis was married to Tracy Brown and they welcomed their son, Tyler in 2000, who was his pride and joy.

According to Travis, he was the best hunter and fisherman around and would travel all over the country doing what he loved.  He was a dedicated father, son, and brother and treated those he supervised like his family and always referred to them as "his boys."
