Trisha Marie Whitley, 36, of Redfield, died on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her death. In keeping with Trisha's loving and generous spirit, it was her decision to donate life so that others may live.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Father Gregg Frankman will celebrate the mass.

Visitation will be Friday, from 3-7:00 p.m., at Thelen-Hyke Funeral Home, with rosary and scriptural wake service as well as a time for sharing memories at 7:00 p.m. Her family will be present from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home to accept condolences. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Trisha was born on October 25, 1979, to Scott and Diane (Gruenwald) Forgey, in Aberdeen. Trisha and her parents moved to Garland, Texas when Trisha was 3 years old and they moved back to Redfield when she was 14 years old. She graduated from Redfield High School in 1998. Trisha went on to get her Cosmetology Degree from Lake Area Tech in Watertown. Christopher and Trisha married on April 27, 2001, and they continued to make their home in Redfield. A short time later, Trisha joined (her big sister) Tamara Stemper at Tamara's Salon where she spent her career. The couple welcomed 3 children into their home: Dylan, Mason, and Adrian and Trisha set about being the best mom any child could hope for. Her children remember her as a loving mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Trisha and Christopher devoted endless hours to coaching and cheering their children on in every activity that they chose to participate in.

Trisha thoroughly enjoyed cheering for and attending all of the activities her children were involved in; whether it be a wrestling tournament, a dance recital, football game, baseball game, softball game, soccer game, or even a practice… you never had to guess if she was there or who she was cheering for!! No story would be complete without the mention of the ever popular "snack bag" that was always there no matter who was in need; it was always open!

Trisha Marie Whitley is survived by her parents, Scott and Diane Forgey of Redfield; husband, Christopher Whitley and their children Dylan (12), Mason (10), and Adrian (9) of Redfield; her very special friends Autumn Esser and Tessa Jaton, both of Redfield. She is also survived by her two four legged kids Fluff and Ollie; her grandparents: James and Margaret Gruenwald of Redfield and Kenneth and Marlene Forgey of Redfield; her mother and father in-law, Tom and Alice Whitley of Redfield; brothers-in-law: Donavon (Kim) Whitley and family, Kirk (Jessi) Whitley and family, Tony Whitley and family; sister-in-law Jolyn (Todd) Hofer and family; and her aunts and uncles: Dawn (Roger) Waldner and family, Susan (Rick Beidler) Baxter and family, Sara (Dan) Peterson and family, and Mary Castleberry and family.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Trisha's life…..those who knew and loved Trisha; their lives will never be the same.
