Vanessa Bourassa, 34, of Sioux Falls, SD, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in rural Beresford, SD. Her funeral will be Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at First Congregational UCC Church in Redfield. Reverend Tim Fugman will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Redfield. Vanessa was born October 21, 1975 in Texas to Gerry and Madonna (Perkins) Buss. While her dad was moving with his career, the family moved throughout the United States. Vanessa attended grade school in Georgia and high school in Wisconsin. She graduated from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, SD with a nursing degree. Vanessa and Trevor Bourassa were married July 28, 2007 in Sioux Falls. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sunflowers, horses, sewing, gardening, decorating and puzzles.

Vanessa is survived by her husband Trevor of Sioux Falls, SD; her children Cassidy, Tristen, Hunter and Payton. She is also survived by her brother Jason Buss of Denver, CO; her father Gerry (Eileen) Buss of Salt Lake City, UT; her mother Madonna Buss of Denver, CO; her paternal grandmother Kay Buss of Redfield and her maternal grandmother Marilyn Perkins of Denver, CO.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Curtis Buss and her maternal grandfather Mervin Perkins.
