Vivian M. Levtzow, 88, of Rockham, SD, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.
Her funeral will be Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Redfield. Reverend Peter M. Utecht will officiate. Burial will be in Rockham Cemetery in Rockham.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield www.thelenfuneralhome.com
Vivian Maurine was born May 19, 1925 in Rockham, SD to John and Lillian (Beatty) Ehrich. She graduated from Rockham High School and earned her teaching degree from Redfield College. She taught country school for a few years. Vivian married Merle Levtzow on September 27, 1944 at Redfield. They lived and farmed in the Rockham area, also raising cattle, sheep and chickens.
Vivian enjoyed reading, dancing and playing cards. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband Merle.
Vivian is survived by her children: Judy (Don) Pfister of Colorado Springs, CO and Merlyn (Rose) Levtzow of Rockham. She is also survived by six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters: Alvin Ehrich of Mesa, AZ, Jack (June) Ehrich of Zell, Shirley Davis of Florida, Doris (Marlen) Sterud of Fairfield Glade, TN and Janice Brown of LowMoor, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Merle, her sister Mertis Ehrich and her grandson Darin Pfister.
