Wayne E. Baseler, 88, of Doland, SD, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown, SD. Wayne was cremated and his memorial service will be Friday, September 26, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Reverend Kris Larson will officiate. Wayne was born June 6, 1926 in Frankfort, SD to Emil and Floy (Bacon) Baseler. He graduated from Frankfort High School and served in the United States Army from 1945-1946. Wayne married Myckie DeLee on August 31, 1953 in Doland. He farmed most of his life in the Doland, Frankfort and Turton area.

He enjoyed woodworking and reading.

Wayne is survived by his daughters: Wayna Lee Domek of Watertown and LuAnne Baseler of Aberdeen, SD. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren and his brother Warren Baseler of Huron, SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Myckie, in 2008, and his daughter, Kathy, in 2009.
