Wesley Rothacker, 63, of Redfield SD, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, SD.

Wesley was cremated and his memorial service will be Monday, April 28, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Redfield. Reverend Stewart M. Lozensky will officiate. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

Wesley was born December 6, 1944 in Lincoln Valley near Denhoff, ND to Herbert and Helen (Warner) Rothacker. He grew up and attended school in North Dakota. At the age of eighteen, he moved to California and worked in a mine there until retiring. Wesley married Barbara Brown February 23, 1973.

He moved to Redfield in the early 1990's and enjoyed his time in Redfield fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and helping out, anywhere that he could.

Wesley is survived by his wife Barbara Rothacker of Mitchell, SD; six children: Laura Avina of Huron, SD; Ralph (Kathleen) Dennin of Huron, SD; Wesley II (Michelle) Rothacker of Redfield, SD; Michael (Sharon) Rothacker of Ashton, SD; and Steven Parks of Fairbanks, AK. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren, three brothers: Floyd Rothacker of Redfield, SD; Roger (Dee) Rothacker of Oregon and Willis (Darlene) Rothacker of Redfield, SD; and three sisters: Jane Folsom of Texas, Marylou (Mike) Curry of Yuka Valley, CA; and Delores Minehart of Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Marv, his sister Fern and a grandson David Davis.
