William "Bill" C. Otto, 88, of Tulare, SD, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Avera Dougherty Hospice Home in Sioux Falls, SD.

His funeral will be Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Tulare United Church in Tulare. Pastor Lorah Houser Jankord will officiate.

Burial will be in the Tulare Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service with Masonic rites starting at 5:30 p.m. at Thelen Funeral Home. www.thelenfuneralhome.com

William Otto was born July 26, 1925 in Redfield to William H. and Gladys (Clark) Otto. He grew up in the Tulare area and graduated from Tulare High School. Bill farmed in the Tulare area his whole life.

Bill enjoyed the many bus trips to see the country, and had been to most of the states. He looked forward to getting senior meals and the coffee times where he could visit with friends. Bill was very interested in genealogy and spent lots of time looking documents up and photo copying them and exchanging them with his relatives.

Bill is survived by his sister, Janet (Gerald) Arens of Hartington, NE, several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, several uncles and aunts
