Bill was born April 19, 1939 in Redfield to Edward "Mike" and Sylvia (Rule) Klebsch. He was raised on the family farm, went to a country school and then graduated from Redfield High School. On April 1, 1960, he married Zelda Tiff in Redfield and to this union, three children were born: Jim, Jeff and Karen. After Bill's father passed away in 1960, Bill and Zelda farmed the homestead until they retired and Jim purchased it.
Bill began farming when he was 17 years old. He worked at the vet clinics in Redfield and sheared many sheep when farming was slow.
He was a 4-H leader and served on the James River Watershed Board. He enjoyed going to town for coffee as well as hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and went to many ball games to support his children and grandchildren. He was a Green Bay Packers fan and even enjoyed doing the chicken dance on occasion. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and wisdom and for his practical jokes at the Eastern Star Home in Redfield where he resided.
Bill is survived by his wife, Zelda; his children: Jim (Pam) Klebsch of Redfield and son, Collin Klebsch; Jeff (Marj) Klebsch of Frankfort and children: Mike (Courtney) Klebsch, Dustin Klebsch, Shawn (Jessie) Wik and Tyrel (Amy) Wik; Karen (Rob) Stephenson of Redfield and children: Tyler Rhodes, Greg (Megan) Rhodes, Shelley Stephenson and Beau Stephenson. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; his brother, Paul Klebsch of Redfield; and his sisters: Joy Mutschelknaus and DaVonna Sheridan, both of Sioux Falls, SD.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Logan Klebsch; his daughter-in-law, Cheryl (Meisel) Klebsch and his sister, Sharon Topel.
Family will be present at the visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. to accept condolences.
