William Elmer Schade "Bill" 87, Redfield, SD died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at the Eastern Star Home in Redfield.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield, SD. Fr. William Osborn will officiate.

Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Zell. Visitation will be Saturday, one hour prior to the funeral at Thelen Funeral Home. (www.thelenfuneralhome.com).

William Elmer Schade was born December 21, 1921, in Zell, SD to Albert and Dora (Irwin) Schade where he resided all of his life. For those of us who knew and loved Bill, we know how much he was devoted to his farm.

Bill is survived by his sister Shirley Frasier, nieces: Barbara (Rodney) Litzinger and Margaret (John) Zelinski; nephews Leonard Frasier, Eugene (Christine) Frasier and Don Frasier. Great nieces: Sandra (Andrew) Frasier, Robin Frasier, Jaime (Brad) Olson, Kristen Litzinger and Nicole Zelinski and many cousins who were so special in his life. God has opened his arms and welcomed Bill into his Kingdom. Those we love remain with us, always.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leo Schade and a sister Zona Lutter and her husband Joe; brother-in-law Leonard Frasier, nephew Dennis Lutter and great nephew John Paul Zelinski.
