Willis J. Neuman, 79, of Redfield, SD, died Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield. His memorial service will be Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Redfield. Reverend Brian Wasmoen will officiate. Willie was born December 24, 1928 in Redfield to Milford and Helen (Miller) Neuman. He graduated from Redfield High School in 1948. Willie entered the National Guard before serving in the United States Army, during the Korean War, from 1950-1953, serving in Germany. Willie married Verla Lou Nelson Dobratz in 1960. They lived in Redfield and Huron until Verla passed away in April of 1991.

Willie married Audrey Carrico Pudwill in November of 1991. They lived in Huron, Sun City, AZ and Redfield. They enjoyed square dancing and traveling. Willie was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

Willie is survived by his wife Audrey of Redfield; four step children: Karla (Dean) Poulis, Bill (Donna) Dobratz, Sam Pudwill and Nancy (Todd) Schwartz; seven grandchildren: Alec, Duncan, April, Eric, Bristy, Michael, Bobbie, Justin, Andrew and Samantha. He is also survived by five nieces: Cindy Reynolds, Debbie Johnson, Susan, Lindsey, Megan and Kristen Binger; one nephew Scott (Jana) Neuman and two special little girls Hannah and Olivia who he loved very much.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Verla, his brother Ed and his wife Mert and two nephews Matt Reynolds and John Binger.
