Wilma Lucille Frost, 89, of Ashton, SD, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Avera St. Lukes Hospital in Aberdeen, SD. Her funeral will be Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Redfield. Reverend Jon Damaska will officiate. Burial will be in the Ashton Cemetery. Wilma was born March 4, 1921 near Ashton to Charles and Louisa (Larsen) Thiel. She grew up in the Ashton area and graduated from Ashton High School in 1939. Wilma and Eugene Frost were married September 10, 1939. They farmed in the Ashton area all their married life. Wilma and Gene celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary before Gene died in 2003.

Wilma enjoyed embroidery and crocheting. She belonged to many bridge clubs, birthday clubs, Ashton Ladies Aide and Ashton United Methodist Church.

Wilma is survived by her children: Larry (Connie) Frost of Aberdeen, SD; Terry (Judy) Frost of Ashton; and Mary Bullock of Ashton; eight grandchildren: Brian (Diane Cummings) Frost, Julie (Jay) Dring, Lonnie (Penny) Frost, Kim (Mark) Potratz, Travis (Kaylin) Frost, Trava (Roger) Olivier, Kary Bullock and Kody Bullock and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary Nelson of Ashton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers: George and Raymond, two great grandchildren: Philip and Lily and her son-in-law Chris Bullock.
