Violet Clausen was born on August 10, 1928, in Crandon Township, SD to Barney and Effie (Bruins) Clausen. She was raised in the Ashton, SD area and graduated from Ashton School. On June 24, 1949, she married Clifford Siebrecht in Redfield, SD. They farmed southeast of Ashton for many years before moving to Redfield in 1980. Clifford and Violet moved to the PBC Apartments in 1994, where she lived until her death. Violet loved playing cards and Bingo, with the other residents and stealing their money when she won. She enjoyed going to Leo’s Good Food every chance she had, including every Saturday with her sister, Nellie and her granddaughter, Chantel. Family was very important to Violet and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very excited to be able to go to the Oak Ridge Boys concert, with her granddaughter Bobbi for Violet's Christmas present in 2019. Violet was a proud member of the Rebekahs – Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
